Sofia Schambach (b. 1999, Guatemala City) is a figurative sculptor and academic painter whose work takes the human body as its primary subject. She studied for three years at the Barcelona Academy of Art under a rigorous classical curriculum in figure modeling, anatomy, and academic drawing.
Her practice centers on the irreducible complexity of flesh — the asymmetries, textures, and surface tensions that make every body singular. She works in clay, plaster, bronze, and resin across a wide range of scales, from small studies to large-scale commissions including bronze figurative monuments. Her work has been shown in Barcelona and in Guatemala. She is based in Guatemala City, where she maintains an active studio practice.
